Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Senza Zutakal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samar Patel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Samar Patel enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Senza Zutakal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Samar Patel!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patel gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Zutakal counters with a nice body shot.
Samar Patel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Patel throws a combination that misses
letting Zutakal counter with a right hand.
Patel lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Patel misses with an uppercut
and Zutakal cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Zutakal slips a jab from Patel.
The fighters circling - Patel throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Zutakal half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Patel loads up on a big right hand but Zutakal slips the punch.
Zutakal blocks a jab.
Zutakal tries to counter with a takedown but Patel is quick to defend against it.
Patel throws a low kick but it's checked well by Zutakal.
Zutakal uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Patel.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Patel throws a lazy uppercut
and Zutakal counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Patel tries to clinch but Zutakal moves away
and Zutakal counters with a straight right hand.
Patel looks to clinch
and Zutakal counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Patel throws a lazy body kick
and Zutakal counters with a nice uppercut.
Patel throws a body shot but no joy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Patel connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Zutakal's hands.
Patel lands a nice shot to the body.
Patel digs a good hook to Zutakal's body.
Patel throws a looping overhand right but Zutakal ducks down to avoid it.
Zutakal keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Zutakal appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Patel misses with a double jab
and Zutakal makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Patel wants to clinch

and Zutakal decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Patel's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zutakal postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Patel is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Zutakal, into his guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Zutakal looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Patel has picked Zutakal up and slammed him! Zutakal can't keep hold of the triangle and Patel manages to pass to side control!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Zutakal is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Patel is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Patel prevents Zutakal from getting the reversal.
Patel tries to control but Zutakal wriggling away.
Patel tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Zutakal is wriggling around trying to escape.
Patel controlling from the full mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Samar Patel dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Patel throws a head kick but Zutakal moves out of range.
Zutakal appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Zutakal moves out of range of the strikes.
A slapping leg kick lands for Patel.
Patel throws the left hand but Zutakal avoids the punch easily.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Patel in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Patel moves into the clinch successfully.

Zutakal has picked Patel up - he's going for a ride! Zutakal dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Patel wants to get back to his feet.
Patel is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Patel is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Zutakal's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Zutakal's back!
Zutakal wants to escape the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Patel is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Zutakal tries to roll but Patel sticks to his back.
Patel controlling from the back.
Patel scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Zutakal tries to break free.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Patel lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Zutakal hold on?!
A helpless look comes across Zutakal 's face. He knows he's trapped as Patel lands a series of unanswered strikes. The ref steps in to stop the fight and this one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Samar Patel!
