The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savano wants to clinch.
Savano takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Savano lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Day circles away quickly and effectively.
Day looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Savano moves out of range of the strikes.
Savano went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Day fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Savano manages to avoid it.

Savano shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Savano was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

A relieved looking Sunny Day thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
