Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Robbie Bruce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Liscio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Robbie Bruce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daniel Liscio!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liscio looks for a takedown but Bruce sprawls well.
Liscio on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Liscio moves into the clinch.
Bruce tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Bruce is looking to break free of the clinch but Liscio has double underhooks.

Bruce pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Liscio takes a kick to the side of the head.
Liscio ducks under a wild hook from Bruce.
Bruce misses the jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bruce lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
We've been hearing reports that Bruce has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Liscio gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Let's hope that Liscio has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Bruce is wriggling around but Liscio manages to pass to half guard.

and Liscio counters with a left and a right that stings Bruce.

Liscio fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Liscio closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Liscio has Bruce pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bruce manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Liscio fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Bruce pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bruce bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Liscio's head backwards.
Bruce misses with a two punch combination.

Liscio tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bruce swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bruce dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Liscio. That did some damage!
Bruce throws a jab but it's blocked by Liscio.
And Liscio tries to counter it with a takedown but Bruce pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Bruce works the jab nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bruce paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Robbie Bruce seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Liscio shoots in but no luck this time.

Liscio throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Liscio.
Bruce with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bruce feints a jab promting Liscio to slip. Bruce then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Liscio slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Bruce throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Liscio stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Bruce rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Liscio moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bruce leaves Liscio with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Liscio takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Bruce is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Liscio slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Liscio's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Liscio passes into half guard.
Liscio is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bruce pushes Liscio off but Liscio dives into side control.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Robbie Bruce.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bruce, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
