The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Routh swats him away and circles back towards the center.
No joy there for Perez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Perez drops down looking for a counter takedown but Routh sprawls and moves away.

It looked like Perez was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Perez moves into the clinch.
Routh has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
