Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bill Billings !
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Billings misses with a series of wild punches.
Sanders really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Sanders leaves Billings with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Sanders working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Billings doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Billings manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Billings with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Billings throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sanders works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Billings wants to pass to mount but Sanders is defending the position.
Billings seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Billings wants to free his trapped foot but Sanders is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Billings keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Sanders is defending against the submission attempts here by Billings .
Billings wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sanders keeps working.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Billings has a takedown stuffed.

Billings throws a right hand that Sanders ducks under and follows up with a left that Sanders also avoids with ease.
Sanders lands with a nice combination. Billings backs away looking to recover.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Bill Billings will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The fight stays on the outside here - Billings looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
It looked like Sanders was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Billings .
Billings changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sanders tries to avoid it but Billings manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sanders to the ground. Sanders escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sanders wants to clinch.

Sanders closes the distance and clinches up with Billings , looking for a takedown. Sanders pushes Billings against the cage but Billings circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Billings tests Sanders's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Billings shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sanders sprawls well. Sanders wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Billings gets slowly back to his feet.

Sanders lands a good knee to the midsection. Billings won't want to take too many of those.
Sanders misses with a knee to the head.
Sanders wants to stall.
Sanders tries for a takedown. No joy.

Billings has a closed guard, preventing Sanders from standing up.

Sanders has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Billings has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Sanders should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Billings has tightened it up now! Sanders should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
