The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poole misses with a head kick.
Mitchell throws a nice head kick!
Mitchell throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Poole throws a nice looking combination but Mitchell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
As Poole tries to get set, Mitchell tries to push him back and clinch up but Poole manages to avoid the attempt.
The fighters circling - Poole throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Poole throws a leg kick which misses Mitchell's front leg but catches the back leg as Mitchell tries to avoid it.

Poole shoots for a double leg takedown but Mitchell sprawls well. He's pushed Poole's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
