Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Rigondeaux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maro Torbar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torbar is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Rigondeaux closes the distance and clinches.
Torbar tries to break free but Rigondeaux pushes him back against the cage.
Rigondeaux is trying to force a seperation but Torbar has the dominant position.

Torbar manages to break the clinch.
Torbar misses with a double jab

and Rigondeaux holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Torbar with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Rigondeaux creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Torbar's defenses.

It looks like Maro Torbar has been cut.
Torbar tries to circle away but Rigondeaux has him pinned against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rigondeaux has clasped his hands together around Torbar's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Rigondeaux postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Torbar is pushing Rigondeaux's head away, looking to escape. Rigondeaux manages to hold on to the position though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rigondeaux working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Rigondeaux content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Torbar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rigondeaux. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rigondeaux tries to move to mount but Torbar blocks the move with his legs.

Rigondeaux has an Americana. Torbar didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Rigondeaux is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Rigondeaux hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
