Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Justin Time (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Byland Nyland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Justin Time has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Justin Time!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Byland Nyland!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nyland has closed the distance and engaged Time in a clinch.
Time looking to stall.
Nyland blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Nyland lands a takedown into guard.
Nyland distracts Time with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Nyland looking to sit in guard and control but Time gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Time definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nyland is controlling Time's posture.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Nyland lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Nyland is looking to pass into half guard but Time pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Time is in guard.

Nyland manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Time manages to get himself to full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Time being controlled here, momentarily.
Nyland is working Time over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Time swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Nyland counters by clinching up.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Nyland tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Time was well out of range. Poor timing from Nyland.
Time throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Time cracks Nyland with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Time is trying to break the clinch but Nyland is controlling him.

Nyland has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Nyland has Time pressed against the cage, preventing Time from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

That was a close second round but I would say that Justin Time will probably get the nod.
That's time! Time's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

The fighters circle momentarily. Time darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Time stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Time wants it to stay on the feet.

Nyland seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Time does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Nyland wants the takedown. Time is fighting it off but Nyland persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Time's guard against the cage.
