The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stark misses with a jab, cross combination.
Stark swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Stark fails to land with a series of punches.

Packalen appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Jab, jab by Stark - just one landing.
Stark lands a two punch combo.
Stark lands with an overhand left.
Stark scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Stark throws a combination that misses

and Packalen counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stark has momentary wrist control but Packalen slips an elbow through the middle.
Stark really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Packalen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Packalen stops Stark from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stark scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Stark throws a lazy uppercut

and Packalen decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Stark's guard.

Packalen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Stark wants to stand but Packalen is controlling the position.

Stark looks winded!
Packalen is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Packalen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Packalen pushing down on Stark's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Packalen is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Stark defends it well.

Packalen has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Stark defend it? Packalen steps over the head and cranks it - Stark is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Packalen!
