Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damien Roads (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wesley Templar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
31 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Damien Roads!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
24 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wesley Templar!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Mauricio Rocha and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roads misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Templar.
Templar bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Roads jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Templar keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

and Roads takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Templar avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Roads feints a jab promting Templar to slip. Roads then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Templar slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Wesley Templar has been cut.
Templar throws a leg kick that is checked
and Roads counters with a stiff right hand.
Templar throws a shot from downtown. Roads moves away and avoids it.
Templar clinches up against the cage.
Templar lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Roads has a couple of punches blocked by Templar.
Templar lands a body shot in the clinch.
Roads is breathing heavily.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Templar creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Templar letting Roads take a breather here.
Roads wants to break the clinch but can't.
Templar manages to pull guard.
Roads trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Templar has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Roads can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Roads has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Templar is on top in guard.
Roads is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Templar wants to improve his position but Roads is controlling well.
Roads knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Templar on the ground.
Roads stalling away here and it's allowed Templar to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Roads avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Templar is pulling down on Roads's head. It's preventing any offense from Roads, at least for the moment.

Roads is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Templar has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Roads is looking to defend but Templar has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Roads! Templar pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Roads taps out and this one is all over!
