Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Kotze!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holt tries a head kick but it misses.
John Kotze seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kotze looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kotze misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Holt drops down looking for a counter takedown but Kotze sprawls and moves away.
Holt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Holt misses with a double jab
and Kotze cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Holt tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kotze paws at him with a jab and circles away.
It seemed like Kotze was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Kotze connects with a body shot that sends Holt's belly button to the back.
A punch combination from Kotze misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kotze moves into range and connects with a jab.

Holt is rocked!
Holt gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Kotze gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Holt is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
