The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ahmad is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Xy's half guard.
Ahmad looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

It looks like Dh Xy has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Xy wants to control but Ahmad is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are battling for position here. Xy manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Ahmad really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Xy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ahmad makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Dh Xy's cut is getting worse.
Ahmad postures up and lands a big shot to Xy's brow.

Dh Xy's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Ahmad must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Ahmad won't allow Xy to get back to his feet.
Ahmad is in close to Xy's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Jeez, Dh Xy's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Dh Xy's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
