Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yoko Honda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robin Tuck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoko Honda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Robin Tuck!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tuck cracks Honda with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Tuck has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Tuck connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
We've been hearing reports that Honda has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Tuck tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Honda drops down looking for a counter takedown but Tuck sprawls and moves away.
Honda changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tuck tries to avoid it but Honda manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tuck to the ground. Tuck escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Robin Tuck seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Honda looks for a takedown but Tuck sprawls well.
Honda sets himself, and Tuck steps forward looking for the clinch! Honda avoids it this time.
Honda takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Tuck tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Honda paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Tuck tries to work over Honda's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Honda tries to score a body lock takedown but Tuck shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tuck lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Honda has Tuck pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Honda pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Tuck tumbling to the mat - Honda dives into Tuck's guard.

Tuck stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tuck wants it to stay on the feet.

Tuck lands a right hand that snaps the head of Honda backwards.

Honda closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Tuck quickly recovers to half guard.

Honda misses with a head shot. Tuck uses the momentum to regain guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Honda accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Honda has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Honda is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Tuck really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Honda. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Tuck takes the fight into the clinch.
Honda is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Tuck is defending well.

Honda breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Tuck displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Honda.

Honda fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Tuck to the ground. Honda is now in Tuck's guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Tuck wants to counter with a clinch but Honda pushes him away.

Honda takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Honda shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tuck as he avoids it easily.
Honda tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Tuck defends well and Honda ends up having to push Tuck into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Tuck enables Honda to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tuck manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Honda seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tuck does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
