Black has chosen Enter the Sandman as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Higuchi looks to throw the jab but Black is out of range.

Black is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Higuchi's half guard.
Higuchi won't allow Black to pass to mount.
Black is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Higuchi reverses the position - he's now on top in Black's guard.
Black bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Higuchi's guard.

Black stopping the sweep attempt from Higuchi.
Black postures up in Higuchi's guard and throws a big left but Higuchi blocks it.
Higuchi is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Black prevents Higuchi from getting back to his feet.
Higuchi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Black throws a big elbow that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Higuchi wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Black trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Black throws a strike but Higuchi rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Higuchi is posturing up here but Black has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Higuchi tries to roll out but it's too tight and Higuchi has to tap! Slick submission there by Black!

A relieved looking Thorn Black thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
