Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ramiro Gamble!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boris Bragin!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Valeri Chadov and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bragin has managed to clinch.

Bragin pulls guard effortlessly.

Bragin uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Gamble is looking to clinch but Bragin is avoiding it.
Boris Bragin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gamble gets tackled into the cage by Bragin. Bragin maintains the clinch.

Bragin successfully pulls guard.
Gamble really is a fat lump.
Gamble trying to control the position from guard on top but Bragin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bragin wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bragin's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Bragin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gamble is aware though and is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bragin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gamble's guard.


Bragin decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gamble, up you get!

Bragin closes the distance and clinches.

Bragin works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Gamble trying to keep a closed guard but Bragin is proving a slippery customer.
Gamble utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bragin stopping the sweep attempt from Gamble.

Bragin decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Bragin manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Gamble on his heels. He'll look to pass Gamble's guard now, I'm sure.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bragin would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Bragin controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bragin is looking to work some ground and pound but Gamble has wrist control.
Bragin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Bragin slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Bragin closes the distance and clinches.

Bragin ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bragin no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Bragin wants to stand and escape but Gamble is having none of it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bragin keeping moving, preventing Gamble from controlling successfully.
Bragin throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Bragin wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Bragin is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Gamble frees his head nicely. Oh but Bragin has switched to an armbar! Gamble is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

After winning the bout, Boris Bragin thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
