Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Saul Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Droppa Cleveland!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Chris Edwards and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cleveland throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cleveland defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jones.
Sloppy strikes from Cleveland. Those never looked like landing.
Cleveland throws a right hand that Jones ducks under and follows up with a left that Jones also avoids with ease.
Jones seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Jones rushes Cleveland and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Cleveland prevents a body shot from Jones.

Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cleveland as he avoids it easily.
Jones pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Jones fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cleveland avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Saul Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Cleveland swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Jones counters by moving into the clinch.

Cleveland tries to circle away but Jones has him pinned against the cage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Jones gets the takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cleveland wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Jones tries to advance to mount but Cleveland denies him.
Jones is working hard here to advance position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Cleveland is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Cleveland lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Jones out cold! Jones is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
