Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gordon Ramsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jake Smith was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jake Smith!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramsey bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ramsey moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Smith lands a right hook to the body.
Ramsey takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.


It looks like Gordon Ramsey has been cut.
The fighters circling - Smith throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Good standup being displayed there by Smith as he connects with a hook.
Smith looks to land a right hand but Ramsey moved out of range.
Smith throws a right and a left that Ramsey avoids nicely.
Ramsey tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Ramsey closes the distance and clinches.
Smith stalling.
Ramsey blocks a body shot from Smith.
Smith prevents a body shot from Ramsey.
Smith gets underhooks to prevent Ramsey's takedown attempt.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Smith is defending well against a takedown attempt.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Smith takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Ramsey tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Smith avoids it.
Ramsey jumps guard but Smith stands there with Ramsey around his waist. Ramsey gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gordon Ramsey. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ramsey tries to pull guard but Smith holds him up against the cage and eventually Ramsey drops back down to his feet.

Smith continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Jake Smith.
Smith displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ramsey.

Ramsey tries to clinch there but Smith circles away.
Ramsey misses with a kick to the body.
Smith appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Ramsey moves out of range as Smith strikes.
Smith stuffs the takedown.
Smith swats away the attempt to clinch by Ramsey.

Ramsey fails with the takedown
and Smith counters with a left to the body.
Ramsey is breathing heavily.
Smith lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Smith cracks Ramsey with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Ramsey falls to his knees and Smith doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jake Smith!
