Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Max Madwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevor Lawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lawson has chosen Wait and Bleed by Slipknot as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Madwell tries to clinch there but Lawson circles away.
Madwell closes the distance and pushes Lawson back into the cage.

Madwell jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lawson walks away with a smile on his face. Madwell gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Lawson throws the left hand but Madwell avoids the punch easily.

Madwell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Lawson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Madwell misses with a looping right.

Lawson lands a left and a right that send Madwell crashing to the mat, dazed. Lawson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Madwell is rocked!
Lawson looks to throw the jab but Madwell is out of range.
Oh Madwell is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Madwell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Madwell is breathing heavily.

Lawson cracks Madwell on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Madwell falls backwards against the cage. Lawson follows up with more strikes that drop Madwell to his knees. Lawson keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Madwell! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Trevor Lawson!
Our winner, Trevor Lawson, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
