Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Solomon Hoffman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Victor Tsoi!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksandr Martynov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tsoi fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hoffman really is a fat lump.
Tsoi comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Tsoi looks to land a combination but Hoffman avoids it well.
Hoffman changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Tsoi throws a right and a left that Hoffman avoids nicely.
Hoffman dodges the punch combination from Tsoi.
Tsoi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A left and a right from Tsoi both land. Nice combination.


It looks like Solomon Hoffman has been cut.

Hoffman clinches up against the cage.
Tsoi is trying to push Hoffman away but Hoffman has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Hoffman tries to pull guard but Tsoi forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Hoffman has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Tsoi after a bit of a struggle.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hoffman keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Tsoi's efforts to push away.
Tsoi wants to break the clinch but can't.
Hoffman really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...
Tsoi is trying to break free.
Tsoi can't break the clinch.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hoffman can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Solomon Hoffman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hoffman keeps control of Tsoi as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Tsoi wants to break free but Hoffman has control.
Tsoi has had enough of the clinch but Hoffman keeps him there for the moment.
Hoffman is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Tsoi is defending well.
Tsoi can't break the clinch.

Tsoi is trying to break the clinch but Hoffman has him pressed against the cage.
Tsoi wants to get back to striking at distance but Hoffman won't allow it.
Hoffman is looking for a takedown.
Tsoi gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hoffman.
Hoffman keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Tsoi's efforts to push away.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hoffman wants to take the fight to the mat but Tsoi manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Tsoi stops a takedown attempt from Hoffman.
Tsoi is trying to break the clinch but Hoffman has him pressed against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Tsoi connects with a nice looking jab.
A combination from Hoffman does no damage.
Tsoi throws a series of punches but Hoffman avoids them all with ease.
Tsoi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Tsoi has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Tsoi with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Tsoi throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hoffman half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Hoffman steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Tsoi.
Tsoi throws a series of punches but Hoffman moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hoffman takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Tsoi throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Hoffman's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Tsoi dives in looking to finish as Hoffman flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Tsoi's strikes! Tsoi is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Hoffman's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Hoffman was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Victor Tsoi!
