Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Janson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kyle Janson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Antonio Ramos!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksandr Martynov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramos throws a hook but Janson avoids it easily.

Janson closes the distance and pushes Ramos back into the cage.

Ramos breaks from the clinch.
Ramos lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Janson slips a straight right by Ramos.
Janson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ramos misses with a hook. Janson ducked under it nicely.

Ramos gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Janson to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Ramos wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Janson manages to pass to side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Janson tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Janson decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Ramos stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Janson looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Janson goes for a double leg but Ramos avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ramos continues to drive forward.
Ramos connects with a single shot there.
Janson throws a combination that misses
and Ramos counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ramos scores with a jab to the body.
Janson tries to clinch up.
Ramos throws a poor cross that misses

and Janson counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Janson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ramos is proving hard to escape from.
Janson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ramos swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ramos looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Ramos is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Janson trying to control but Ramos is working from the bottom.
Ramos wants to stand but Janson is controlling the position.
Janson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A shot to the liver by Ramos. Beautiful body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Janson tries to clinch but fails miserably
enabling Ramos to counter with a crisp jab.
Ramos throws a lazy uppercut
and Janson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ramos scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Antonio Ramos dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Janson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ramos pinned against the cage. Ramos gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Janson throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Ramos connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Janson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Janson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Ramos counters with a stiff right hand.
Ramos paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Ramos connects with a looping right hand.
Janson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ramos fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Janson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Ramos counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyle Janson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Ramos connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Janson slips under a jab from Ramos.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ramos throws a hook to the side of Janson's head but Janson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Ramos slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Janson wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Antonio Ramos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ramos lands with a shot to the body.
Janson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Janson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Ramos sends Janson crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Ramos is motioning to the referee to let Janson up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!


Janson is rocked!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Janson walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Ramos swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
