Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Evan Decon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Peevey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James Peevey will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Decon waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Peevey.
Peevey displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Decon throws out the jab.

Peevey shoots in for a double leg but Decon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Peevey is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Decon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Peevey was well out of range. Poor timing from Decon.

Decon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Peevey was covering up waiting for the punch and Decon finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Decon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Peevey changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Decon tries to avoid it but Peevey manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Decon to the ground. Decon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Decon is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Peevey doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Decon.
Decon is taking a breather. Peevey says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Evan Decon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Peevey is controlling Decon's position as best he can from this difficult position.
