Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Russell Pearce and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Tyson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Powers off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Powers takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Tyson looks to land a combination. Powers sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Powers goes for a double leg but Tyson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Tyson continues to drive forward.

Powers takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Johnny Powers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tyson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Oh Powers is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tyson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Tyson arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Powers's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Xavier Tyson!
