The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ciosek throws a right and a left that Davis avoids nicely.
Ciosek shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Davis sprawls well. Davis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ciosek gets slowly back to his feet.
Ciosek looks to land a combination but Davis avoids it well.

and Davis counters with a single leg into guard. Ciosek didn't expect that.
Davis is standing up over Ciosek. Ciosek looks to escape but Davis dives into side control.

Davis is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ciosek knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Davis goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Ciosek has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Davis but great work by Ciosek.
Davis tries to bench press Ciosek off him but Ciosek keeps the position.
Ciosek throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Davis works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Davis is concentrating on defense, preventing Ciosek from advancing position.
Ciosek really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Davis works his way to full guard. Good work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Davis is on top in guard.

Ciosek wants to control but Davis is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Hector Davis decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
