Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between DJ Boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pierre Letang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for DJ Boom has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, DJ Boom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pierre Letang!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Lou da Vinci and Reed Andrews.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Boom getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Letang gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Boom counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Letang moves in looking to clinch but Boom pushes him off.
Boom looks to land a right hand but Letang moved out of range.
Boom pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Letang displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Boom throws out the jab.
Boom lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Letang has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
A punch combination from Boom misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Letang fails with a takedown attempt.
Letang closes the distance looking to clinch
and Boom counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Letang defending well as Boom loads up on a big left hand.
Boom misses with a looping right.
Pierre Letang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boom just misses with a punch to the body.
Boom cracks Letang on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Letang falls backwards against the cage. Boom follows up with more strikes that drop Letang to his knees. Boom keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Letang! This one is all over!
