Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malvin Mandi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nathan Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Malvin Mandi!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, David Schapiro and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mandi looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Mandi dives in and scores a takedown into Wallace's guard.
Mandi looking to sit in guard and control but Wallace gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Mandi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wallace manages to get himself to full guard.

Mandi trying to control the position from guard on top but Wallace is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Wallace is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Mandi is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Wallace is looking to sweep but instead, Mandi has passed into half guard.

Wallace has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mandi is working away from the top position though.
Mandi content to control rather than advance.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wallace desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Mandi is thwarting Wallace's attempts to control the position.
Mandi missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mandi tries to stand and escape but Wallace actually recovers to full guard.

Mandi won't allow Wallace to get back to his feet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Wallace lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mandi circles away quickly and effectively.
Mandi tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Wallace defends well and Mandi ends up having to push Wallace into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Wallace is looking to land body kicks.
Mandi is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Wallace stuffs the takedown attempt from Mandi. Mandi gets slowly back to his feet.
Mandi takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Mandi shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Nathan Wallace has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Malvin Mandi.
Wallace fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mandi has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Wallace seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Mandi looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Mandi thinks about the counter body kick.
Mandi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wallace as he avoids it easily.
Mandi walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wallace blocks a head kick by Mandi.
A little feinted left hand from Wallace on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Mandi has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Wallace.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wallace throws a low kick but it's checked well by Mandi.
Wallace tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mandi paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Wallace stuffs the takedown attempt from Mandi. Mandi gets slowly back to his feet.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nathan Wallace dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Wallace lands a leg kick that knocks Mandi off balance momentarily.
Wallace looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Mandi wants to counter the offense by Wallace and move into the clinch position.
Wallace misses with a low kick.
Mandi shoots in looking for a takedown but Wallace manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mandi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Wallace wants to slow Mandi down by chopping away at his legs.
Wallace throws a jab when Mandi was well out of range.
Wallace will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Mandi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Wallace counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mandi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Wallace moves into the clinch.
Nice body punch from Wallace - that landed with a thud.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Wallace scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Mandi blocks a body shot from Wallace.

Wallace misses with a hook from the clinch.
Wallace tries to work over Mandi's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Mandi ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mandi no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Mandi keeping moving, preventing Wallace from controlling successfully.
Wallace tries to free his leg and advance position but Mandi is retaining full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Wallace lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Mandi takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Mandi is still on wobbly legs! Can Wallace finish him?
Mandi takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mandi is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Wallace just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Mandi has gone limp and this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Nathan Wallace!
