The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samaras with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

and Bathory counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Bathory rushes Samaras and presses him up against the cage.

Samaras breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Samaras fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

and Samaras counters with a nice low kick that buckles Bathory's knee momentarily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

It looks like Lefteris Samaras has been cut.
Bathory pushes off an throws an elbow but Samaras leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Samaras throws out a loose jab but Bathory uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bathory moves in looking to clinch but Samaras pushes him off.
Samaras throws a low kick, looking for Bathory's leg but Bathory calmly moves out of range.
Samaras lands with a shot to the body.
Samaras avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Samaras looks to score with a jab to the body but Bathory is just out of range.
A quick step to the side and Bathory tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bathory takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bathory uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Samaras.
Samaras throws a big shot that misses.
Bathory swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Good leg kick by Bathory there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

and Bathory counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Samaras goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Bathory is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Samaras lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Samaras tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bathory was well out of range. Poor timing from Samaras.
Bathory throws an overhand right that drops Samaras like a sack of potatoes! Bathory dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
