Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mike Gillinger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Felix Saganaro!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Santiago Holmes and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gillinger tries to clinch up but Saganaro circles away and keeps his distance.
Saganaro looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Saganaro avoids the head kick by Gillinger.
Gillinger slaps away a takedown attempt from Saganaro, before circling back to the center of the mat.
It looked like Gillinger was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Saganaro.
Mike Gillinger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Saganaro defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gillinger.
Saganaro displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gillinger.
Saganaro's coach down at Evolved MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Saganaro's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Gillinger fails to land with a series of punches.
Sloppy strikes from Gillinger. Those never looked like landing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Saganaro displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gillinger.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Gillinger. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Gillinger drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Gillinger seems to have locked his on tight now - Saganaro screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Gillinger, as he picks up the win!
