Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Potter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrey Lobtov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Potter comes to the cage accompanied by Cherry Pie by Warrant. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potter looks to land a body kick but Lobtov moved away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lobtov. Potter does a little dance to reset his feet.
Potter throws a low kick but Lobtov moves out of range easily.
Lobtov throws a body shot but no joy.
Lobtov lands a really nice looking cross but Potter seems unphased.
Potter stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Potter wants it to stay on the feet.
Lobtov swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Potter.
Potter tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lobtov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Lobtov thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lobtov wants to control from the top but Potter keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Potter is trying to keep Lobtov in close.
Lobtov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Lobtov is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Potter is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Potter has escaped and now he's on top!

Lobtov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
