Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Emmitt Mcdowell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emmitt Mcdowell had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Emmitt Mcdowell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Junior Tyson!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mcdowell moves into range and clinches up with Tyson.
Mcdowell on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Mcdowell tries to break free but Tyson pushes him back against the cage.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Tyson lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Tyson lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Mcdowell moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tyson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mcdowell manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Tyson fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Tyson has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Mcdowell is trying to keep an underhook but Tyson manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Mcdowell has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Tyson is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Emmitt Mcdowell will probably get the nod.

Tyson shoots in and gets a takedown into Mcdowell's guard.

Tyson wants to control from the top but Mcdowell keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Junior Tyson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mcdowell has closed the distance and engaged Tyson in a clinch.

Mcdowell throws a sloppy head kick and Tyson moves out of range easily.

Tyson has clasped his hands together around Mcdowell's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Tyson wants to take a breather but Mcdowell manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Tyson.

Tyson throws a strike but Mcdowell rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Tyson pulls Mcdowell in close to his closed guard and prevents Mcdowell from doing any damage or advancing position.

Emmitt Mcdowell showed his dominance in that final round.
