Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Venomous Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oleg Minakov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oleg Minakov will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximus will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Minakov is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Maximus's half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Maximus has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Minakov is wriggling around trying to escape.
Minakov is in a horrible position here. Maximus smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Minakov is rocked!
Maximus loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Minakov scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Maximus land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Maximus stands and salutes the crowd.
