Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Commings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirk Norbit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Commings tries to clinch up
and Norbit counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Commings moves to clinch but Norbit breaks away
and Norbit counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Commings misses with a takedown attempt
and Commings takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Commings throws a series of punches but Norbit moves out of range.
Norbit scores with a jab. Commings acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

and Norbit counters with a straight right hand.
Commings wants to clinch up but Norbit keeps it at a distance.
Norbit circles away from the clinch attempt
and Commings takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

As Norbit tries to get set, Commings tries to push him back and clinch up but Norbit manages to avoid the attempt.
Commings throws a lazy head kick
and Norbit counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Commings thinking.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Commings fails with the takedown

and Norbit counters with a nice right hand that sends Commings toppling to the canvas! Commings scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Norbit finish him?!

Commings is rocked!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sam Commings. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Commings is breathing heavily.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Norbit engages and cracks Commings with a massive lead left hook - Commings tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Norbit is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

After the fight, Dirk Norbit was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
