Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maxim Rovanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stella Artois (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rovanov comes to the cage accompanied by System Of A Down - Chop Suey!. Maxim Rovanov had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Maxim Rovanov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Rovanov misses the target.
Artois with the counter takedown but Rovanov avoids it easily.
Artois clinches up with Rovanov and pushes him back against the cage.
Artois is trying to trip Rovanov. He has hold of a leg but Rovanov is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Artois persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Rovanov trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Rovanov will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rovanov has his foot on Artois's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Artois works his way back into a safe position though.

Rovanov is staying active underneath Artois, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Artois is nestled in close to Rovanov, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Artois feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Artois shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Rovanov manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Rovanov has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Artois avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
