Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Igydo Dall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cole Taggart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dall kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Blue Ice. Igydo Dall could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Cole Taggart's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Dall misses
letting Taggart counter with a right hand.
Dall misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Taggart.
Dall avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Taggart tries a low kick but Dall avoids it.
Dall half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Dall is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Taggart.
Taggart throws out a counter right but Dall avoids it with no problem.
Dall connects with a body shot that sends Taggart's belly button to the back.
Taggart lands with an overhand left.
Dall throws a right and a left that Taggart avoids nicely.
Taggart appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
A low kick from Dall is predictable there
and Taggart counters with a good, hard body kick but Dall shrugs it off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Taggart walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Dall stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Taggart.
A nice inside leg kick there by Taggart. That's going to slow Dall down.
Some bone on bone action there as Dall checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Dall is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Taggart misses with a kick to the body

Dall is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Dall throws a leg kick but Taggart checks it.

Taggart is looking to land body kicks.

Taggart looks to land a combination. Dall sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Dall attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Dall smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Taggart tries to land a leg kick but Dall saw it coming and moves away.
Taggart buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Dall missing with a left hand there. Taggart was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Taggart throws a fast counter high kick but Dall manages to duck under it in time.

Taggart cracks Dall with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

and Dall counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Dall throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Dall feints and as Taggart raises his hands in defense, Dall changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Taggart has his feet on Dall's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Dall avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Taggart fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Dall keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

and Dall counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Cole Taggart will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

and Dall decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Taggart's guard.
Taggart is trying to keep Dall in close.

Taggart wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Dall manages to pass to side control.

Dall is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Taggart is just riding it out for now. Dall eventually gives up the hold.

Dall is nestled in close to Taggart, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Dall passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Taggart!
Taggart regains half guard.

Dall is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Taggart wants to control but Dall is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Taggart tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Dall has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Dall looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Dall manages to capitalize on a mistake by Taggart to take his back!
Taggart tries to roll but Dall sticks to his back.

Taggart defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Dall's arms.

Dall is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Taggart has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Dall has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Taggart taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Dall doesn't care though - he's delighted!
