Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Test Ninja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Polo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ninja's entrance music is Super Bon Bon - Soul Coughing. A fine choice. Polo has chosen On The Floor as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ninja has a takedown stuffed.
Ninja wants to clinch up but Polo keeps it at a distance.
Polo shoots in and bounces Ninja off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Polo wants to pass the guard but Ninja is keeping the position.
Polo trying to control the position from guard on top but Ninja is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ninja escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Polo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Polo wants to control from the top but Ninja keeps moving.

We've been hearing good reports from Ninja's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Polo is looking for a sweep. Ninja is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Ninja shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Polo sprawls well. Polo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ninja gets slowly back to his feet.
Ninja looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Polo leaves Ninja with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

A little jabbing left from Polo on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Polo throws a front kick that sends Ninja stumbling back into the cage.
Polo thuds his shin into the meat of Ninja's side.
Ninja shoots in and drives through. Polo sprawls well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Polo throws a body shot but no joy.
Ninja blocks a head kick by Polo.
Ninja has a takedown stuffed.

Polo is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Polo is trying to trip Ninja. He has hold of a leg but Ninja is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Polo persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Polo won't allow Ninja to sweep him here.
Polo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ninja swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Polo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ninja goes for a double leg but Polo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Polo continues to drive forward.
Polo clinches up with Ninja and pushes him back against the cage.
Polo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Marco Polo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Ninja shoots in looking for a takedown. Polo tries to sprawl out of it but Ninja keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Polo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Polo fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ninja to the ground. Polo is now in Ninja's guard.

Marco Polo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Polo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
