Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexi Laiho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Iain Reilly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laiho comes into the arena with Cold Sweat/ Thin Lizzy blaring out of the sound system. Reilly has chosen Dubliners - Fields of Athenry as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Laiho misses with a few strikes there.

Reilly throws a body punch but Laiho moves out of range.

We've been hearing reports that Laiho has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Laiho tries to bum rush Reilly with a series of wild strikes but Reilly uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Laiho throws a hook to the side of Reilly's head but Reilly sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Reilly throws out a counter right but Laiho avoids it with no problem.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Reilly has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Reilly moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

enabling Reilly to counter with a crisp jab.

Reilly uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Laiho.

Reilly cracks Laiho with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Reilly has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Laiho to stand back up!

Reilly is stalking Laiho. Laiho circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Reilly, and it's lights out! Laiho really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
