The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slevin avoids a kick to the body.
Slevin darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Slevin doesn't manage to clinch there - Sonnen circles away.
Sonnen half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
A leg kick checked by Slevin.
Slevin avoids the body shot from Sonnen.
Slevin is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Sonnen with a body shot.
Sonnen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sonnen throws a solid leg kick but Slevin takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Sonnen.
Slevin swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
A shot to the body from Sonnen misses
and Slevin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Sonnen shoots in and bounces Slevin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Sonnen is posturing up here but Slevin has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Sonnen tries to roll out but it's too tight and Sonnen has to tap! Slick submission there by Slevin!
