Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Asu Kuren!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chuckie Lidl!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lidl stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kuren.
Lidl tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lidl tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kuren sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lidl somewhat.
As Lidl tries to get set, Kuren tries to push him back and clinch up but Lidl manages to avoid the attempt.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Kuren - that will leave a mark!
Kuren punishes Lidl's body with a nice straight punch.
Lidl throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kuren drives through and clinches with Lidl against the cage.
Lidl tries to break the clinch but Kuren is controlling the position.
Kuren is pushing Lidl up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Kuren breaks from the clinch.

Lidl misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lidl is defended easily by Kuren.
Asu Kuren has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chuckie Lidl.

Kuren has taken the fight to the clinch.

Kuren escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Chuckie Lidl seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lidl tries to clinch up but Kuren circles away and keeps his distance.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Asu Kuren.

Kuren ducks under a wild hook from Lidl.

and Kuren holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Lidl misses with a knee to the head.
Kuren unloads a knee to the mid-section. Lidl lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Lidl drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kuren is pushing Lidl up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Kuren is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Kuren for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
Kuren lands a shoulder strike.
Lidl tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kuren just stands there and leans against the cage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Kuren breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kuren swats away the attempt to clinch by Lidl.
Kuren wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Kuren.
This has been an exciting period of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lidl shoots in for a double leg but Kuren sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kuren pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Lidl back to the cage. Kuren follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Kuren lands a nice shot to the body.
Kuren lunges at Lidl with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lidl's hand.

Lidl is rocked!
Kuren looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Kuren backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Lidl's temple! It sends Lidl violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Kuren celebrates and the doctors try to help Lidl!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Asu Kuren!
