PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between EA Poe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kieran Summers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Poe comes into the arena with Unleashing The Bloodthirsty by Cannibal Corpse blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poe lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Poe stalks Summers and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Summers's face. Summers staggers backwards, shaken.
Poe fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Poe chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Summers can pounce on him.
Summers misses with a wild body shot.
Nice body kick there by Summers.
Poe connects with a right hand. Summers shakes it off.

Summers is rocked!
Poe throws a big shot that misses.
Poe scores with a jab. Summers acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Summers is still on wobbly legs! Can Poe finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Poe throws an off balance right hand
and Summers counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Poe lands a right hook to the body.
Summers seems to have recovered his senses.
Summers just misses with a punch to the body.
Poe will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Summers counters with a nice low kick that buckles Poe's knee momentarily.
Summers will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Summers swings for the body but Poe moves out of range.
Summers lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Poe tried to score with a low kick but Summers checks it.
Despite the aggression on Summers's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Poe lands with a right hand.

EA Poe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Poe feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Summerss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Poe shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Summers throws a low kick but Poe moves out of range easily.

Poe cracks Summers with a big right hand and Summers goes down!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Summers working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Poe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Poe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Poe slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Summers has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Poe can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Poe stays in close to Summers's body and controls the position.

Poe stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Summers has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Poe manages to get his head free but now Summers has transitioned to an armbar! Poe grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Summers! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
