The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marcus bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Berry's head backwards.

It looks like Kennith Berry has been cut.
Marcus tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Berry counters with a single leg into guard. Marcus didn't expect that.
Marcus looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Berry is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Berry seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Marcus for as long as he can get away with.
Berry might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Berry avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Marcus is working an open guard so Berry takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Berry shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Marcus throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Berry tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Marcus defends well and Berry ends up having to push Marcus into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Berry swats away the attempt to clinch by Marcus.
Arcus Marcus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Berry closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Marcus quickly recovers to half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Marcus can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Berry's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Berry could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
