Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hassan Awadh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Pierson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Awadh comes to the cage accompanied by Killers. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Matheus Silva and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Awadh tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pierson swivels and escapes.
Awadh throws a series of punches but Pierson avoids them all with ease.
Awadh throws a left and a right that both miss
and Pierson counters with a left to the body.

Awadh has Pierson up against the cage in a clinch.

Pierson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pierson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Awadh shoots in for a double leg but Pierson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
No luck for Awadh with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hassan Awadh. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pierson tries to bum rush Awadh with a series of wild strikes but Awadh uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Awadh moves into range and clinches up with Pierson.

Pierson wants to get back to striking at distance but Awadh won't allow it.

Pierson scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Pierson shoots in for a takedown but Awadh shows good takedown defense.
Awadh circles away from the clinch attempt.
Awadh takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Pierson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Pierson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Awadh gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Pierson shoots in for a double leg but Awadh sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Pierson lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Pierson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Awadh tries to close the distance and clinch but Pierson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Awadh uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pierson.

Pierson tries for a takedown but Awadh sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Awadh went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Pierson misses with a two punch combination.
Pierson dives in for a single leg takedown but Awadh sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
It looked like Awadh wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Awadh manages to break the clinch.
Pierson misses with a two punch combination.
Awadh throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pierson's waist but Pierson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Awadh off to one side.
Pierson fails to land with a series of punches.

Awadh drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Pierson throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Pierson tries to clinch but Awadh is having none of it.
Hassan Awadh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Pierson.

Pierson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Awadh has closed the distance and engaged Pierson in a clinch.
Awadh tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pierson smiles and moves away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pierson misses with a few strikes there.

Awadh clinches up with Pierson and pushes him back against the cage.
Pierson tries to score a body lock takedown but Awadh shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Awadh has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Pierson after a bit of a struggle.

Pierson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Awadh's efforts to push away.
Awadh is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Pierson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pierson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pierson stuffs the takedown attempt from Awadh. Awadh gets slowly back to his feet.
Awadh tries to bum rush Pierson with a series of wild strikes but Pierson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Pierson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Awadh.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Awadh dips a shoulder and cracks Pierson with a mighty uppercut! Pierson falls back against the cage and Awadh unloads with a barrage of strikes! Pierson is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Awadh screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hassan Awadh!
