Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dominic Rude (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donsone De (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rude comes into the arena with Gunslinger blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

De has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

De with shots to the head and body - Rude looks very uncomfortable down there.

De cracks Rude with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Rude is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

De is pressing down on Rude's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Rude has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Rude has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of De is proving hard to escape from.
De looking for a sweep. Not yet De, not yet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
De is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Rude trying to control but De is working from the bottom.
Rude looking to sit in guard and control but De gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

De trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
De trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
De wants to get up but he can't break Rude's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
De stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rude swivels though and keeps the full guard.
De is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Donsone De showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Rude is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

De lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
De looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Rude is trying to stand up here but De is controlling him well.
De lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Rude tries to kick De off but De keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Donsone De is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Rude seems to have got his legs back now.
