Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phill Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donatas Radyys (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brooks comes to the cage accompanied by Cult Of Personailty. Donatas Radyys has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Phill Brooks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Donatas Radyys!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Santiago Holmes and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brooks moves into the clinch.

Radyys manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Radyys throws his legs up looking for a submission but Brooks uses it to pass to side control.
Radyys is trying to improve his position.
Brooks trying to control the position but Radyys is working away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Radyys is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Brooks off and has taken his back!

Radyys looking for the choke but no joy.
Brooks rolls, trying to escape but Radyys keeps control of the position.
Brooks covering up well under a barage of strikes.

Radyys has his opponent's back but Brooks is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Radyys.

Brooks closes the distance and clinches.

Radyys has hold of one of Brooks's legs. Brooks is fighting the takedown attempt but Radyys gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Radyys throws an elbow that misses. Brooks uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Radyys's guard. Nice move by Brooks!


Brooks stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Brooks gets a takedown into half guard.
Brooks wants to take a breather but Radyys is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Brooks throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Brooks looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Brooks drops an elbow to the side of Radyys's head.

Radyys is defending against the submission attempts here by Brooks.
Brooks content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Brooks definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Brooks uses his free foot to push down on Radyys's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Radyys.
Radyys takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Brooks with shots to the head and body - Radyys looks very uncomfortable down there.
Brooks lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brooks shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Radyys preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Brooks not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Radyys is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Brooks pulls his head out easily.

Brooks throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Radyys avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Brooks.

Brooks stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Radyys to get to his feet.
Brooks is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Radyys can do to turn this around?

Radyys clinches.

Radyys has clasped his hands together around Brooks's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Radyys tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Brooks is trying to control Radyys's posture but Radyys avoids it.
Brooks manages to work his way to half guard, despite Radyys's best efforts.
Brooks might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Radyys scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Brooks pushes Radyys off looking to stand but Radyys dives back in and keeps control.

Brooks kicks off Radyys and gets to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Brooks tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Radyys manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Brooks closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Brooks decides to stand up, so the ref orders Radyys to his feet.

Radyys forces Brooks back against the cage and clinches.

Radyys gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Brooks makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Brooks has closed the distance and engaged Radyys in a clinch.
Brooks has Radyys pushed against the cage.
Brooks managing to block the knees to the body from Radyys.

Brooks lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Radyys is looking to get back to is feet but Brooks passes into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Radyys struggling a bit here.

Brooks goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Radyys rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Brooks's guard! Nice work there by Radyys!
Radyys stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brooks swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Brooks has control of Radyys's left arm, preventing Radyys from doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!



Brooks shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Brooks was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Brooks content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Brooks wants to control but Radyys is keeping him busy.
Radyys is looking to reverse the position.

Brooks looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Brooks decides to stand back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Radyys bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Brooks throws Radyys to one side and escapes!

Brooks feints and as Radyys raises his hands in defense, Brooks changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Radyys takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Radyys keeping moving, preventing Brooks from controlling successfully.
Brooks throws an elbow that misses. Radyys uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Brooks's guard. Nice move by Radyys!

Brooks is adopting a defensive guard.
Radyys with a nice head shot there.

Brooks escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Radyys gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Radyys trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Radyys in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Radyys is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Radyys is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Brooks has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Radyys is looking to defend but Brooks has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Radyys! Brooks pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Radyys taps out and this one is all over!
