And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Cody Ruttenum!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Ginsburg works the jab nicely.


It looks like Cody Ruttenum has been cut.
Van Ginsburg ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ruttenum moves away.
Ruttenum tries to close the distance and clinch but Van Ginsburg swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Van Ginsburg throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
As Van Ginsburg backs off Ruttenum throws a huge counter combo but Van Ginsburg manages to avoid it all.
Van Ginsburg rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ruttenum moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Van Ginsburg dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Van Ginsburg!
Van Ginsburg tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ruttenum was well out of range. Poor timing from Van Ginsburg.
Van Ginsburg slips a jab and a cross from Ruttenum.
Van Ginsburg throws a series of punches but Ruttenum moves out of range.
Despite the aggression on Ruttenum's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Van Ginsburg scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ruttenum takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Van Ginsburg misses with a two punch combination.
Ruttenum is looking for the big counter here.
Van Ginsburg lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Van Ginsburg tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ruttenum was well out of range. Poor timing from Van Ginsburg.
Ruttenum doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Van Ginsburg lands a jab to Ruttenum's midsection.
Ruttenum moves forwards but Van Ginsburg connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Van Ginsburg lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.


Ruttenum is rocked!
Ruttenum drops his hands for a split second and Van Ginsburg immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Ruttenum face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Van Ginsburg follows up with a right hand that knocks Ruttenum into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Max Van Ginsburg!
