The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nickolson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Babakov is looking to clinch.
Babakov swings for the body but Nickolson moves out of range.
Nickolson loads up on a big right hand but Babakov slips the punch.
Babakov wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Babakov takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

It looks like Sergei Babakov has been cut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Babakov. Nickolson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Babakov tries to clinch there but Nickolson circles away.
Babakov connects with the punch.
Babakov tries to close the distance and clinch but Nickolson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Babakov tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Nickolson's elbow.

BOOM! Nickolson lands a beautiful left hook that drops Babakov. Babakov tries to recover but Nickolson is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Babakov lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
