The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tumenov has taken the fight to the clinch.
Tumenov tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Tumenov fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Perry wants a takedown.
Tumenov lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Perry is trying to drag Tumenov to the mat but Tumenov just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Perry pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Perry has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Tumenov is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Tumenov steps into range and cracks Perry with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Perry flops backwards and Tumenov dives into his guard looking to finish!

Perry is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Perry wants to sweep but no luck.
Perry is still trying to improve position.

Perry has Tumenov pulled in close to control his posture.
Perry is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tumenov is looking to control Perry's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Tumenov avoid being mounted?
Perry thows a huge punch but Tumenov dodges it nicely.

Perry drops an elbow to the side of Tumenov's head.
Tumenov has hold of Perry's hands but Perry slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Tumenov is looking to escape.

Perry takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Tumenov takes one to the side of the head.
No joy there for Tumenov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tumenov tries to clinch up.
Perry looks to score with a jab to the body but Tumenov is just out of range.
A quick step to the side and Tumenov tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
A looping hook to the body misses from Perry. Tumenov does a little dance to reset his feet.
Perry dodges the punch combination from Tumenov.
Perry swings for the body but Tumenov moves out of range.
Perry misses the shot to the body.
Perry slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Tumenov counters with a straight right hand.
Perry is still on wobbly legs! Can Tumenov finish him?
Perry switches off momentarily and Tumenov cracks him with a monster right hand! Perry topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Tumenov dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Tumenov!
