Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derek Craven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Derek Craven had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Derek Craven!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jake Moore!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Moore.

Moore has taken the fight to the clinch.
Craven is trying to drag Moore to the mat but Moore just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Moore lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Well, if Moore is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Craven is looking for a sweep. Moore is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Craven wants to clinch but Moore slips to the side

and Moore counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Moore not doing much here.
Craven is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Moore scores with a couple of nice shots.
Moore is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Craven pushes Moore off looking to stand but Moore dives back in and keeps control.

Moore decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Craven lands a nice leg kick that just misses Moore's sensitive parts.

Moore might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Craven haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Moore wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Craven, who protects the arm well.

Craven is not content to let Moore control the position.

Moore has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Moore fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Craven to the ground. Moore is now in Craven's guard.
Craven controls Moore momentarily but Moore frees himself.
Moore sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Craven's guard.

Craven is defending against the submission attempts here by Moore.
Craven is looking to get back to full guard here but Moore has managed to pass to side control instead.
Craven is not content to let Moore control the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Craven sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jake Moore showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Moore takes the fight into the clinch.

Moore is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Craven can't fight it off and eventually Moore manages to take the fight to the floor. Craven looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Craven is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Craven is working an open guard so Moore takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Craven shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Moore napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Moore sneaks out the side door and pushes Craven away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Moore rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Craven moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Craven shoots in for a double leg but Moore sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Moore replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Craven blocks it well.
Craven throws a low kick but Moore avoids it.

As Moore tries to get set, Craven tries to push him back and clinch up but Moore manages to avoid the attempt.

Moore goes for a takedown attempt but Craven pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Moore decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Craven is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Moore scores with a couple of nice shots.

Moore decides to stand and escape the position.

Moore is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Craven displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Moore.
Craven buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Craven tries to keep at a distance but Moore has taken the fight into the clinch.

Moore ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Moore no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Well Moore has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
