The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DePalma throws a leg kick
and Aei finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Aei defending well as DePalma loads up on a big left hand.

Louie DePalma seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
DePalma cracks Aei with an open hand slap.

DePalma jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

DePalma throws a series of punches but Aei avoids them all with ease.
DePalma has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Aei shoots in but no luck this time.
And DePalma counters with a quick kick to the body but Aei blocks it.

DePalma tries to close the distance and clinch but Aei swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Aei drops down looking to force a counter takedown but DePalma defends it well.

Aei's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

DePalma creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Aei with a big uppercut! Aei tries to clinch up but DePalma pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Aei to the mat! Aei covers up and DePalma unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
