The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pagnozzi scores with a punch to the head.

It looks like Kenta Yuudai has been cut.
Pagnozzi on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Pagnozzi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Yuudai sprawls well. Yuudai wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pagnozzi gets slowly back to his feet.
Yuudai was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Pagnozzi connects with a nice looking jab.
Pagnozzi has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Pagnozzi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Yuudai moves away.
Yuudai on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Pagnozzi stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Pagnozzi throws a hook but Yuudai avoids it easily.
Pagnozzi throws a leg kick but Yuudai sees it coming and moves out of range.
Pagnozzi comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Pagnozzi throws a sloppy head kick and Yuudai moves out of range easily.
Pagnozzi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A little feinted left hand from Yuudai on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Yuudai has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Pagnozzi catches Yuudai with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pagnozzi looks to land a left hand but Yuudai moved out of range nicely.
Yuudai fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Pagnozzi punishes Yuudai's body with a nice straight punch.

Pagnozzi dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Yuudai pivots, looking for a leg kick but Pagnozzi is out of range and Yuudai settles back down.
Yuudai throws a series of punches but Pagnozzi moves out of range.

Pagnozzi shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Pagnozzi was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Pagnozzi tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Pagnozzi throws a strike aimed at the side of Yuudai's head but Yuudai avoids it well.
Pagnozzi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Yuudai manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Pagnozzi moves into full guard.
Yuudai has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Pagnozzi is proving hard to escape from.

Pagnozzi has his foot on Yuudai's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Yuudai works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
