The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ahmad dives in and grabs Kozlov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kozlov pushes down on Ahmad's head and hops out.
Ahmad shoots in and bounces Kozlov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Ahmad wants to get up but he can't break Kozlov's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Kozlov lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Kozlov wants to control from the top but Ahmad keeps moving.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ahmad can do anything to dispel that myth.
