Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eduardo Batista!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jason Dukes!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Batista clinches with his opponent.
Batista tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Dukes avoids it.

Dukes wants the takedown. Batista is fighting it off but Dukes persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Batista's guard against the cage.
Batista keeping moving, preventing Dukes from controlling successfully.
Batista will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Batista has a closed guard, preventing Dukes from standing up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Dukes kicks off Batista and gets to his feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Eduardo Batista will probably get the nod.

Batista is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Dukes is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Dukes has escaped and now he's on top!

Dukes got a little sloppy there for a moment and Batista has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dukes has managed to get both his arms back between Batista's legs - danger averted.

Dukes is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Batista sees it coming and defends easily.

Batista has gone for a leg lock! Dukes slips out almost immediately though and dives into Batista's guard.

I would just about give that final round to Jason Dukes.
